Hi. I’m 54, with two “children” aged 13 and 17, and a step-“child” aged 22.
I work full time in a demanding senior role. I love what I do, and I don’t have much spare time.
So why start Owning Her Space?
It began with a simple but powerful realisation: I didn’t want to drift into the next chapter of my life on autopilot. I wanted to choose it.
I also found myself increasingly disconnected from much of the content aimed at women, not out of disrespect, but because it’s often created by people in a very different phase of life. I wanted something that reflected where I am now.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m deeply grateful for the life I’ve lived so far: the work, the relationships, the experiences, and the lessons that came with them.
But gratitude doesn’t mean standing still. It means recognising where you are and choosing how you want to live what comes next.
Owning Her Space is for women who are capable, thoughtful, and experienced, and who want to be intentional about their time, energy, and financial independence.
Not because something is wrong, but because they want to live well, with clarity and choice.
Here, I share reflections, questions, and practical thinking around work, money, health, and the shape of a life that feels both secure and meaningful.
This isn’t about reinvention.
It’s about using what you already have, your experience, perspective, and strength, to build a future that feels truly yours.
You’ll find regular reflections and stories in the Stories section. We all get stuck at times, and that’s okay. What matters is taking the next step, thoughtfully, and in your own way. Enjoy this new chapter.
